Healthwatch Hackney

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

Healthwatch Hackney is Hackney’s health and care watchdog. Our mission is to improve local health and social care services and ensure equitable provision for all local people. Our statutory duties include promoting and supporting local people to get involved in and have their say on the planning, commissioning and scrutiny of local health and care services.
Healthwatch Hackney collects patients’ feedback about the health and social care services from the community and then feed those back to the commissioners and service providers and will suggest improvements to services. We also distribute health information or ‘signpost’ to educate and increase community awareness about services available to the community in Hackney.
Why the Peer researcher role is so important and why do we need your help?
Hey, we know we are not perfect!
We always do our best, however, we know that there are so many people that we still haven’t heard from or are not able to talk to for many different reasons. This could be because we don’t speak their language or because we don’t know which places they visit.

We want to represent the diversity of Hackney and learn more about the differences in experience between different communities. If you speak any language other than English will be great. But this is not essential.

We need your help to reach out to as many residents in Hackney as possible and get to hear about their experiences and recommendations of how to make the local health and care services better and more accessible for them. By taking part you will help improve the local health and care services as well as add to the national service improvement.
