Choice In Hackney

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

This is an opportunity to join an active disability charity in London. The role involves managing our various social media accounts, creating content and increasing our online presence.

Choice in Hackney does excellent work supporting disabled people, but our online presence doesn't always reflect that excellent work or the impact we are having.

We want to reach out to our disabled beneficiaries and find ways to involve them in our services. We want to explore creative methods of utilising X (Twitter), Facebook, Linked in and others to manage the organisations image, reach out to new beneficiaries and find new funding opportunities. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain vital experience of professional social media. All expenses will be paid and references given.

Choice in Hackney is a disabled person's organisation that provides independent living services to disabled people in Hackney and beyond. We provide advocacy services to help disabled people procure their rights, volunteer services that assist disabled people with befriending, gardening, shopping and walking outside, active lifestyle services intended to get disabled people active and a robust training program that aims to support disabled people in to employment.

You must have:

Experience of utilising social media
Experience of disability rights and issues
Strong written and spoken communication skills
A commitment to the mission and beliefs of Choice in Hackney
Enthusiasm for volunteering and gaining experience.

As a disabled person's organisation we shall go out of our way to support disabled applicants to apply for this role.
