KEEN London

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

KEEN London is a registered charity that runs free weekly sports and recreation sessions for children and young adults with learning, behavioural and physical disabilities.

Volunteer Coaches are needed to provide one-to-one support for our athletes at weekly sessions across London; Saturdays in Dalston and Vauxhall, Sundays in Finsbury Park. Volunteers will learn how to work and play with children who have a wide range of additional needs.

As a Volunteer Coach you will need to support the athlete in accessing the fun and games on offer at the session and adapting the activity to meet their needs, encourage the athletes and give them lots of praise, get moving and have FUN!

We offer full training and support, and a range of additional education sessions, including Autism awareness, behaviour management and session leading. We run coach socials and recognise long-term volunteers with t-shirts and badges. Our weekly debriefs after sessions over food and drinks are also a great way to meet new friends.

We ask that volunteers commit to attend at least 2 sessions a month (roughly 3 hours each) for a minimum of 6 months.

Sessions currently run in Hackney and Vauxhall every Saturday and in Finsbury Park every Sunday.
