We are looking for volunteer musicians to play music at different venues in London and other parts of the UK in aid of our fundraising project to help raise much needed funds for our food bank in Hackney, East London.

By playing and using your musical talent you would be making an invaluable contribution to Storehouse food bank which has been in the heart of the community for fourteen years supporting local homeless people, the unemployed, families and anyone who is economically disadvantaged.

The musicians we are looking for to join our newly formed band would need to play any of the following instruments. Drums, piano, keyboard, lead guitar, bass guitar, Saxophone, trumpet, plus other brass section instruments would be welcomed.

The music genre is Reggae Gospel played predominantly using Jazz chords. Rehearsals will be fortnightly which includes Saturdays and also some evenings in midweek in East London.

A female vocalist for lead and backing singing is also needed. As this is a band with original Reggae Gospel songs, having a Christian faith is preferred, however we
will consider anyone of no faith.

If you would love to be a part of this exciting volunteering opportunity and at the same time using your musical ability to make a difference, we would love to hear from you by the 22nd of June 2024.

This volunteering opportunity requires the need to play and owning a musical instrument and play Jazz chords or willing to learn to play Jazz chords.

The benefits for this volunteering role are that you will be playing music with other musicians, you will meet new people, you will have the opportunity to use your creative music abilities, you will play at gigs at various locations and all at the same time fundraising to help local people who uses our food bank who are struggling with the cost of living.

The commitment for this volunteering role would be to come to rehearsals at least twice a month which will include Saturdays or Sunday afternoon and a evening midweek.
