Register your interest for the Fleet Street Quarter x Daniel Bell Vertical Garden planting session launching this Spring, during the week commencing 20 April.

We are looking for volunteers to join us for full day or for half day sessions to help plant the new vertical garden. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a keen gardener, you’ll get hands on experience and play a real part in transforming a key site in the Quarter.

In February 2022, local businesses voted overwhelmingly in favour of establishing the Fleet Street Quarter Business Improvement District (BID). This favourable outcome demonstrated a strong mandate amongst businesses to work more collectively in leading, shaping and influencing a comprehensive programme of activity – positioning the Fleet Street Quarter as a thriving and vibrant destination.

We are looking for volunteers to join us for full day or for half day sessions on Poppins Court just off Fleet Street to help plant the new vertical garden. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a keen gardener, you’ll get hands on experience and play a real part in transforming a key site in the Quarter. You will be given a live demonstration by Award-winning horticultural designer Daniel Bell or one of his team members before you start planting.

Vertical gardens will help transform Fleet Street by adding much‑needed greenery to a dense urban environment, improving air quality, cooling the area, and supporting local biodiversity. They make streets and alleyways more attractive and welcoming, helping to create a more vibrant public realm that encourages people to spend time in the area.

This opportunity supports local businesses, boosts footfall, and enhances the overall experience for workers, visitors, and residents. The project also brings people together through volunteering, building community pride and giving individuals a chance to contribute directly to the area’s regeneration.

This is a great opportunity to:
- Improve your wellbeing: Enjoy fresh air, light exercise and a break from your screen
- Greener streets: Help improve biodiversity, air quality, and the area
- Community impact: Be part of the ongoing care for local green spaces

This opportunity is open to all! No experience needed - just bring your enthusiasm!
