Group Conservation Volunteering

Our Parklife-Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

We are looking for volunteers to help contribute to the conservation and environmental management of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Under the supervision of Park gardeners you will have the opportunity to learn new gardening and horticultural skills and hear about the exciting plans for the Park in 2016.

The Olympic Park is a great place to get involved in volunteering as it continues to reopen to the public, venues reopen and the gardens mature and develop. Anyone who has an enthusiasm for this amazing place will enjoy having a direct impact on its maintenance whilst learning more about what's going on! This is also a great chance to work alongside highly skilled gardeners and horticulturalists, if you are interested in gardening or want to learn more than this is the opportunity for you!

You will work under the supervision of gardeners and the grounds maintenance team responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the Olympic park as well as community gardeners from Groundwork London.

Activities might include woodland maintenance, tree and wildlife surveys and tending of the designed gardens. Your tasks will relate to conservation and gardening (tree and shrub pruning, habitat surveys, planting, vegetation clearance etc)
