BucksVision Milton Keynes Resource Centres have a range of exciting and innovative products that make everyday activities easier for people with sight loss. We need you to join our friendly team and make visitors feel welcome by demonstrating and providing information as they browse through a host of handy products that can help them to live independently.
The Peartree Centre, Peartree Bridge, Milton Keynes
How often will you be needed?
The Resource Room is open to clients on Tuesday 1-4pm, and Wednesday 10am-1pm.
What you will be doing?
Meeting and greeting visitors, demonstrating products and providing information to customers, talking to customers and making them feel welcome. Some routine stocktaking and admin tasks.
Many of our clients struggle with transport and therefore find it difficult to visit the Resource Room. It would be an advantage, but not a necessity if volunteers have access to their own vehicle, and a full clean driving licence. Please note, the Resource Centre Volunteer role does not require a DBS check. If you do undertake this role as a Driver, you will be asked to undergo a DBS check, as you will be supporting clients in a 1-2-1 capacity.
