As a Volunteer Mentor you will have the opportunity to volunteer with people in the criminal justice system either in the prison or out in the community.

You will have the opportunity to build up a relationship and build confidence and motivation! You will also build on your own existing skills and learn new skills. Communication is key and it is a very important aspect of this volunteering role!

Activities will range from person to person but may involve helping someone improve their reading and writing skills, encouraging them to keep motivated whilst in prison, supporting them as they look for work, helping them find volunteering opportunities or involvement in the local community. Meeting regularly at a public place to encourage them as they reintegrate back into the community.

You will have a positive and encouraging outlook and relish the chance to build up a person's confidence and skills!
