In this role you will use your online skills to help us monitor and update our social media presence. You will be acting as our ‘Social Media Gatekeeper’ whilst the communications team are unavailable. There will also be opportunities to further develop this role during your time with us.
Key tasks include:
• Monitor our social media accounts at specific periods.
• Engage with our audience by either responding to comments with the Hospice ‘tone of voice’ and with pre-agreed phrases or by liking third party posts.
• Respond to any comments that might need further investigation with an acknowledgement or signpost.
• Maintain the Hospice’s professional profile at all times and minimise reputational damage.

IT, Technology & Websites,Marketing, PR & Media

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Good IT Skills

For this role you will need excellent communication skills, experience of using social media channels, and be organised and self-motivated.

You will be supporting a great cause that is integral to the local community in providing care for those with life limiting illnesses and supporting families dealing with the loss of a loved one. If you are interested in a career in Social Media and/or Marketing, or in improving your CV, this role provides an opportunity for developing your skills so you can demonstrate the right experience and knowledge needed to flourish in a Social Media and Marketing roles.

We ask for volunteers to commit to at least 4 hours per week. We can be flexible in terms of what day(s) these will be to fit around your lifestyle.
