What you will be doing

Title: Office Administration Volunteer

Location: London Borough of Richmond and Kingston

Responsible To: Volunteer Coordinator

Responsible For: General office administration duties

Expenses: Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed subject to the completion of an Expense Claim Form submitted on a monthly basis for payment

Aims and Objectives

To provide help and assistance to Crossroads Care office based staff in order to improve and enhance the service to carers and people with care needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

To assist with office administration duties as required e.g:

• Shredding
• Laminating
• Typing up documents
• Creating flyers and other relevant documents
• Mailing documents
• Photocopying
• Sorting documents
• Answering telephones
• Assisting at events
• Meeting and greeting at events
• Other appropriate office duties as required

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
