Could you be a Trustee of River Thames Boat Project (RTBP) and be a major part of the charity in its exciting next phase of growth ?
Established in 1988, RTBP is a local charity whose mission is to make the Thames accessible to all. Using our two fully wheelchair-accessible community boats we provide therapeutic cruises for people of all ages who have limited access to the Thames due to health issues, disabilities, isolation or social exclusion, and deliver environmental educational programmes for primary school children across London and the South East. The boats are based in Kingston and Teddington. We have recently secured a new riverside home for our boats and our work.
The Trustees will develop policy and steer the four professional staff and 70+ volunteers to implement the range of services provided to the community. Ideally, RTBP is looking for specialists in the fields of marketing and fundraising, legal services, and information technology. A professional qualification in these fields would be ideal but hands on experience with these skills would be most welcome. Enthusiasm for boating and benefits of the River Thames would be a bonus. RTBP is an equal opportunities organisation and welcomes input from all contributors.
Please register your interest at: info@thamesboatproject.org including your name and contact details (email and phone number). A Trustee will contact you to answer your questions and provide more details, including a description of the role.
