Volunteer Centre  We Welcome

We welcome and/or have the resources to support:

SEEN is committed to fair and inclusive recruitment and actively welcomes Social Media Volunteer applications from individuals across a wide range of backgrounds, including: Ex-offenders: We welcome applications from individuals with criminal records. Having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify someone from volunteering. Each application is considered individually, based on the nature of the role and the circumstances of any offences. We follow a clear and confidential process in line with the DBS Code of Practice and the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Refugees and Asylum Seekers: We aim to make our recruitment process and volunteer roles accessible to individuals from all communities. Where needed, we will seek translation and interpretation support to ensure clear communication and inclusion. However, fluent spoken and written English is essential for this role, as it involves creating and managing public-facing content. People with Disabilities or Additional Needs: SEEN has made reasonable adjustments to ensure accessibility and supports volunteers with visual, hearing, or learning difficulties. We are happy to liaise with supporting agencies to facilitate participation. Individuals from Low-Income Backgrounds: We recognise that financial barriers can prevent people from volunteering. While this role does not require paid training, we aim to keep any associated costs minimal and offer support where needed. Speakers of Other Languages: We welcome multilingual volunteers, especially those who can help us reach wider audiences. However, strong English language skills are required for content creation and communication.
