Helping to run a primary school library. Keeping the library organised and the library system up to date. Helping the pupils with book selection. Running promotions in the library to introduce new authors

Administration,Advice, Information & Support,General & Helping

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Organising & Planning, Reading & Writing

The key skill is being good with children and being able to engage with them using the library and finding books. The role also requires basic IT skills and being organised

Our volunteers find these roles very rewarding. The engagement with the children is hugely rewarding. We build libraries in schools in deprived areas and many of these children do not have books at home. These roles are a great opportunity to make a difference

1 or 2 days a week in school time
