As one of the largest voluntary sector organisations in the borough working with and for older people, Age UK Richmond upon Thames offers a wide range of services including information and advice, practical help around the home, educational, physical and social activities in our centres as well as in a variety of different venues across the borough.

Our Help at Home Services, which include handyperson, gardening and housekeeping makes a major contribution to the quality of life of many older people across Richmond Borough. They offer practical help within the older person’s home and ensure that a client’s home is as safe and secure as possible within the scope of the service.

The busy Handyperson Service requires some administrative help once a week. This role can be based at our Twickenham Wellbeing Centre or Hampton office.

Admin, People Skills

Person Specification: computer literate, high level of accuracy, good organisation skills, reliability & trustworthiness, friendly, calm telephone manner.

Helping older people access services making a definite contribution to the quality of life of many older people across Richmond Borough. Supporting clients to access practical help within their own home home and ensuring that a client’s home is as safe and secure as possible within the scope of the service. Develop skills, volunteering in a supportive environment, being part of a focused team.

Half a day a week - ideally Monday or possibly other day to be discussed with the Service Manager.
