Volunteers should meet the following requirements: • Have a friendly and approachable personality. • Willing to work flexibly as part of a team. • Good communication skills • Confident engaging with members of the public. • Happy to work outdoors (we have delivered events in all weathers!) • Age 16+

This role will provide an opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience in areas such as: • Working as a part of a friendly team • Learning new skills whilst making a positive difference to your local town. • Increase your employability by gaining valuable work experience helping to demonstrate your commitment, increase confidence and show responsibility. • Volunteering provides physical and mental rewards – it reduces stress and can bring meaning and purpose to your life whilst increasing your self-esteem and wellbeing.

Days and times are flexible depending on the event/activity. Volunteers can indicate their own availability for events they wish to support.

Our events are mainly based around the Rotherham Town Centre however there are other opportunities throughout the borough including Magna, Rother Valley Country Park etc.

Directions and details of public transport links will be shared prior to each event/activity.

Support can be provided with accessibility requirements, this may differ depending on the location of the event or type of activity. Volunteer Coordinator will work with individuals prior to events.
