Do you enjoy spending time outdoors, love nature walks, and like meeting new people (or want to build your confidence doing so)? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Wellness Walk Team!

As a Wellness Walk Guide, you'll lead relaxed, friendly walks for 18–25-year-olds across Berkshire, helping create a welcoming and supportive space where young adults can connect, chat, and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors. No expert knowledge is needed—just a positive attitude, a friendly approach, and a willingness to help others feel included.

This is a great opportunity to gain volunteering experience, develop leadership and communication skills, support young people's wellbeing, and make a real difference in your local community.

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children, young people, and families affected by sickle cell. As a Wellness Walk Guide, you should ideally have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A warm, welcoming, and inclusive approach to engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Confidence leading or supporting small groups during community walks. Good organisational and time management skills. The ability to encourage and motivate others in a positive and supportive way. Awareness of the importance of health, wellbeing, and physical activity. Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to volunteering as agreed. The ability to remain calm, observant, and responsive to participants' needs. A willingness to follow health and safety guidance and safeguarding procedures. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required. No previous experience is necessary. Full guidance and support will be provided.

As a Wellness Walk Guide Volunteer with Cianna's Smile, you will: Make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people, and families affected by sickle cell. Help promote physical and mental wellbeing within your local community. Gain valuable experience in community engagement, leadership, and event support. Build confidence, develop communication and teamwork skills, and meet new people. Receive support and guidance from the Cianna's Smile team. Be part of a friendly, inclusive, and passionate volunteer community. Receive recognition for your contribution and the impact you make.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, allowing you to volunteer when you are available. Wellness walks typically take place once a month on Sunday afternoons and evenings. Event dates and times will be shared with you once you join the volunteer team. You are welcome to sign up for the walks that fit your availability. There is no minimum commitment, but we appreciate volunteers who can attend regularly where possible.
