Setting up and helping to run the children's miniature railway on public running days and/or children's parties. .

Advice, Information & Support,Community Work,Gardening,Practical Work & DIY,Events & Stewarding

Cleaning & Tidying, Gardening, Managing People, Organising & Planning

The minimum skills would be a willing individual taking part on a busy day. This role includes teamwork and good communication skills. It also involves dealing with our visitors - members of the public, so a friendly, helpful attitude is a must! You don't even have ot be a railway fan! The roles may well suit retirees and senior citizens with time to spare.

Just the knowledge that you are part of an important local community group, bringing fun and leisure to local families. It involves physical and mental work, so good for the body. It is also good to see how much pleasure this gives to families with young children.

We run 7 times a year from April to October, with some private children's parties also added. The first Sunday each month. So around 12 times a year. A volunteer need not attend all the events, just what they want to do and are available to do..

Further location details may be provided below.

Winkfield Road Ascot Berkshire

SL5 7LJ

Along Winkfield Road there is one turning. There is a brown 'attractions' sign indicating the railway. Takes this turning. Travel down, but don't fork left into the golf club, but carry on through a pair of gates and we are immediately on the left. Some 701/ 703 buses stop in Winkfield Road.
