Would you like to make a positive difference to residents in our Retirement Living Schemes by supporting them to interact and socialise, helping to reduce isolation and promote positive wellbeing?

Then we may have the perfect volunteering role for you!

We currently have an opportunity to volunteer as Befriender at Oxleathers Court, one of our Retirement Living Plus Schemes situated in Stafford. Befriending makes an enormous difference and can improve quality of life dramatically for our more isolated residents by having someone to share their thoughts and feelings with or being able to reminisce and share a joke. The aim of our befriending service is to reduce loneliness with a regular (usually weekly) visit to their home or by accompanying them into our communal areas to support and encourage them to access activities within the retirement living community. This particular befriending opportunity is for a lovely gentleman who would love someone to chat to someone and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea together.

We’re looking for Volunteers to help us to bring our values to life and ensure our customers receive outstanding services. We are looking for fun loving individuals who are comfortable interacting with people face to face. You must be non-judgmental and able to accept people for who they are and socialise with them with patience and understanding. By volunteering at Care Plus, you will be part of an organisation that’s determined to make a positive difference to homes, lives and communities. Join our Volunteering Team and help us to put the PLUS in Care Plus.

Care Plus commitment to you: · Induction programme to ensure you have the skills and confidence to fulfil your role. · All volunteers will require a DBS check which will be paid for by us. · Out of pocket expenses reimbursed, including travel costs · Additional training opportunities offered · All volunteers will be supported by the Engagement and Volunteer Team and their skills and contribution to the group will be reviewed on a regular basis.

Flexible hours by arrangement. We are ideally looking for someone who can commit to a weekly visit.
