Here at Statfold, we are looking for volunteers who are enjoy being chatty and friendly with public. These persons are critical to operating of our railway as you will be ensuring they are safe on their trips around railway and on our platforms. Guard Volunteer position is social position where there are high levels of interaction with people.
No prior experience or knowledge required; we will give you all training you require. There is a rules test and practical assessment when you have finished your training. You will be fully supported in this role by our Railway team.
As this role is classed as safety critical role, you will need average physical fitness, most of activity is confined to the platform but start and end of day checks are required which required ability to be able to get on and off the train from ground level. You will also need to be able to walk a distance along track for emergency procedures.
