To assist and support families and children to use Children's Centres services and activities.
Build relationships with our families during our play sessions to offer peer to peer support.
Assist with planning, setting up and clearing up after play sessions.
Support and assist on the day with the event/activity, alongside staff, ensuring the smooth running of the session/event.
Help families find out what activities are run locally to support their needs.
Support at local event to raise awareness of Children's Centres.
You will be working as a Volunteer within London Borough of Sutton. All volunteers will be required to supply 2 references and An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks will be completed for this role.

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy talking and listening to other people. Have a passion for childcare and development. Who are warm, friendly, outgoing and approachable. Someone with good people skills. You must enjoying working with families and children. Be Empathetic, helpful, and enthusiastic. Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skills. You must be trustworthy and be able to maintain confidentiality at all time.

You will receive an Initial induction and continued support as a volunteer within the Children's Centres. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to families lives and help your local community. Have the opportunity to enhance your CV, skills and experience, with ongoing training and development. You will be given the opportunity to try some new, challenge yourself and increase your confidence. A job reference can be provided on request
