Please note that we are unable to take on any new volunteers at the moment as we broadcasting from home rather than our studios but please do register your interest, as we welcome volunteer applications and we will get back to you to get ready for when the covid-19 restrictions are eased or over.We are looking for committed individuals of all ages, who are looking to meet new people, give back to their local community and gain new experiences. We ask all volunteers to give at least a few hours each week to visit wards, collect requests, produce and present a two-three hour request show. After the probation period, you would then be asked to become a full member and would be able to submit a 'Demo' to become a presenter, or offer your services for other roles within the station. You would also be expected to help in helping us raise much needed funds at local events such as Carshalton Carnival and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home Open day. Without these funds and volunteers, we would not exist.Equally, we are always looking for individuals that are able to help our on the technical side. Whether its ensuring that studio equipment is always in working order, or making sure that our play out system is running smoothly we welcome any volunteers to this side of radio too.Members would initially join us for a 6 month period, allowing volunteers to become familiar with procedures and how equipment works. Don't worry; full training is given to everyone!

We are interested in receiving applications from anyone aged 18 or over who is willing to give their services, time and talents so as to further the objectives of Radio St Helier. Although experience is always useful, it is by no means essential, as training in our studio is part of the probationary period. Tasks within Radio St Helier fall into four main categories: 1. Programme assistants 2 Request collecting 3. Programme Presentation 4. Technical/Engineering New recruits who join the station do so for a probationary period of six months. We have only a few requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age You must complete and pass a DBS (Disclosures & Barring Service) check Please be prepared to commit your time and talents to Radio St Helier
