Offer companionship and conversation to isolated older people in Sutton, and empower them to gain a social and support network they can connect with, or to settle back at home after a stay in hospital.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Provide wellbeing check-ins to isolated older people (from 1 up to 8 months).
- Empower clients to gain a social and support network they can connect with, or to settle back at home after a stay in hospital.
- Offer companionship and conversation over the phone or in person.
- Conduct evaluation interviews with clients, volunteers and older Sutton residents to ensure their views and experiences are heard.
- Submit feedback forms and pass on any questions or concerns.
- Participate in supervisions as well as learning and development.
- Minimum commitment: From 1 hour per week, depending on activity.

Our office is accessible. Our Head of Volunteering is a trained Mental Health First Aider. We welcome opportunities to discuss any learning or support needs with those interested in volunteering with us, subject to role requirements. PLEASE NOTE that this role is partly or mainly home and/or community based and so accessibility is dependant on location.
