What you will be doing

Volunteers are needed to help with the Riverside Community Association Limited's 'Time Out Youth Project' which runs activities for young people aged 11 to 19 years. The group takes part in a wide range of activities from sport and craft to IT, drama and the creative. The group takes part in discussions looking at issues that are important to young people today. Volunteers will get involved in these activities alongside the young people and encourage them to get involved.
The 'Time Out Youth Project' currently delivers a number of sessions each week including youth clubs, detached/outreach, urban sports and holiday camps.

An important part of this role is building up relationships with young people, sometimes just by sitting and doing nothing together, giving them the chance to talk to you. Volunteers will be role-models and encourages for the young people they work with. There is also the opportunity to become involved in planning and evaluating the programme if a volunteer wanted to.

Skills Description
