What you will be doing

Our E-Commerce hub goes the extra mile by selling goods through online retailers – including eBay and Thriftily, a platform born from a desire to make fashion buying more sustainable and reduce the amount that ends up in landfill. Our online trading allows us to reach a wider customer base and achieve the best possible price for goods, therefore helping to raise more money for Myton as well as supporting the circular economy.

Photographing items and following Myton retail guidelines
Identifying and researching items
Writing product descriptions for the listings
Sorting, cleaning and steaming stock ready for listing
Packaging sold items ready to send to customers
Keeping the stock room clean and tidy
Ensuring health and safety of others by following procedures and identifying hazards

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
