Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to volunteer as Client Support Workers. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to clients with various tasks, such as ordering items, visiting the bank, and helping them navigate everyday activities that promote independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Ordering Items:
Help clients order necessary items (e.g., groceries, medical supplies, household items) via phone, online, or in-person.
Ensure that clients' needs are clearly communicated to vendors and that items are received on time.
Follow up with clients to confirm the delivery or receipt of ordered items.
Bank Visits & Financial Assistance:
Assist clients in visiting local banks for tasks such as making deposits, withdrawing money, or discussing financial matters.
Provide support in understanding and completing financial paperwork, if necessary.
General Errands & Administrative Support:
Support clients with other errands such as picking up prescriptions, mailing letters/packages, and managing appointments.
Assist in filling out forms, applications, and organizing important documents (e.g., healthcare, government assistance).
Help clients navigate services and resources in the community, such as transportation or healthcare providers.
Emotional & Social Support:
Offer companionship and emotional support during visits, fostering a positive relationship based on trust and respect.
Encourage and empower clients to make informed decisions and maintain independence where possible.
Required Skills:
Empathy, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
Good communication skills and ability to explain processes clearly.
Comfortable assisting clients with basic financial tasks.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
A background in social work, customer service, or a similar field is a plus but not required.
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours, approximately 5-10 hours per week.
Ability to work independently or with a team, depending on client needs.
Some tasks may require traveling within the local community to accompany clients.

Strong Communication: Capable of explaining processes and instructions clearly, ensuring clients feel informed and confident. Financial Assistance Skills: Comfortable assisting with basic financial tasks, such as deposits or completing financial forms. Organizational Skills: Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, from errands to paperwork, ensuring all responsibilities are completed in a timely manner. Confidentiality & Professionalism: Maintain respect for clients' privacy and approach each task with a high level of professionalism. Experience: A background in social work, customer service, or related fields is beneficial but not required.
