To ensure the enjoyment of spectators and players and smooth running of the Aviva National Finals, we are seeking dedicated team of Volunteers to volunteer in Team 1. These individuals will play a pivotal role in the experience of everyone on site and their contributions will be integral to creating memorable moments and upholding the event's reputation for excellence. We invite enthusiastic individuals to join us in delivering a superb spectator and player experiences during the Aviva National Bowls Finals.

We want to support our volunteers to work in the areas that are most suited and enjoyable for them. We understand that not everyone will be able to undertake all of the roles listed below, this is not a problem, and we can work with you to allocate you the most suitable tasks for your shift. Please include any individual requirements in the comments section of the application form.

Spectator Services

Welcoming spectators to the event, scanning tickets

Staffing the ticket office and selling programmes

Providing wayfinding / event information

Supporting guests with disabilities

Assisting with spectator flow inside the venue

Ensuring the venue is kept clean and tidy

Interact with guests and ensure they have a fantastic experience and problem solving any issues they may have

Player Entry

Welcoming and registering players to the event each day and issuing player packs

Administrative tasks including preparation of player packs

Club Zone

Preparing the Club Zone for daily seminars

Welcome participants and take registers

Ensuring the area is left clean and tidy ahead of the next seminar

Administration,Advice, Information & Support,Community Work,Events & Stewarding,General & Helping

First-hand experience of working at the country’s biggest Bowls event Pre event training and briefing Aviva National Bowls Finals kit and lanyard (which is yours to keep and reuse at future events) Meal voucher whilst on shift to be redeemed at a concession on site Complimentary hot drinks and biscuits Free access to watch the Aviva National Bowls Finals on the morning / afternoon of your shift Complimentary parking on the day of your shift Organised social opportunities with other volunteers throughout the Aviva National Bowls Finals The opportunity to attend the Bowls England Awards and be recognised as ‘Bowls Maker of the Year’ 20% off food at local businesses including Fizzy Moon, Nana's Japanese Kitchen and Plan Burrito

Shifts are AM and PM - 7am - 1pm and 1pm - 7pm Ideally a minimum of three shifts throughout the finals.
