Rugby Foodbank

You did not enter a postcode in the search, or the postcode for this role is unknown.

Foodbank Friends is a warm and welcoming support group held every Friday morning from 10am until 11.30am at Rugby Foodbank. It offers a safe space for Foodbank users to connect, talk, and build supportive relationships. Many attendees have or are presently facing significant challenges, including debt, homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health difficulties, or other forms of trauma. Despite this, they are incredibly kind, friendly, and appreciative of a space where they are listened to and respected.

As part of the group, we also share information about our local campaign work to challenge the root causes of poverty and help end the need for foodbanks. We actively encourage Foodbank Friends to get involved in this work, whether by sharing their views, stories, or ideas. This helps to build their confidence and self-esteem, gives them a sense of purpose and value and in turn it supports mental health and recovery.

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and empathetic volunteer to help facilitate the group and provide consistent support from the beginning of September.

To apply for this role, please go directly to the Foodbank Website and follow How to get involved or follow link below:
