Volunteer lantern parade marshals play a vital part in keeping the event safe and enjoyable for everyone. Marshals are positioned along the parade route and help manage the flow of spectators, ensuring there is enough space for the lantern procession to pass through safely. This is a public facing role that supports the smooth running of the event and contributes to a positive, welcoming atmosphere.

Your time directly helps make the event safe and successful, boosting community spirit and contributing to a thriving town centre. perfect for anyone interested in events, public facing roles, community work or future employment. You'll get hands on experience in event stewarding, crowd management, public engagement, safety awareness. Work alongside a friendly team of volunteers, event staff and community groups. You'll have a front row view of the lantern parade and the celebrations around it. Volunteers receive a full briefing, high vis-vest, on site support and plenty of appreciation from the community. Your presence helps keep everyone safe and ensures the parade can run smoothly - a contribution you can genuinely be proud of.
