Community Engagement & Events Coordinator

Responsible for developing new ways to support women through creative ideas for planning and organising events to interest and reach our target base, while being mindful of accessibility and safety. To help increase social cohesion by accessing vegetarian hospitality for the informal peer support safe spaces hired within our diverse communities and to help plan and support our fundraising initiatives. The role also includes promoting the charity, developing creative and effective relationships with community hubs and local groups and by liaising with other similar local organisations.

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Creative & Design, Language Skills, Organising & Planning, Listening skills, Social Skills

Previous experience of overcoming life challenges, organisational and inclusive social skills will be an asset. Languages other than English would be beneficial but not essential.

Volunteering is a respected gateway to full time work. You will mix with those you may not other wise encounter and gain new life experiences and friendships.

2-3 hours per week to fulfil the role is expected and following successful recruitment and induction, at least 6 months volunteering.
