What you will be doing

Growbaby International is a charity that supports local communities by providing quality clothing, equipment, and essential items for babies and young children (0–5 years), completely free of charge to families in need.

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support a series of donation sorting sessions. You will help sort, organise, and prepare donated baby and children’s clothing, ensuring items are clean, well-presented, and ready for distribution. This role plays a vital part in helping local families access essential items with dignity.

What you will be doing:
- Sorting donated baby and children’s clothing (0–5 years)
- Checking items for quality and suitability
- Organising clothing into sizes and categories
- Helping keep storage areas tidy and well maintained

Session Dates & Times:
Tuesday 5 May 2026 – 9:30am to 12:30pm
Tuesday 26 May 2026 – 9:30am to 12:30pm
Tuesday 9 June 2026 – 9:30am to 12:30pm

Tea, coffee, and refreshments are provided.

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
