Our collection boxes are a vital source of income for the charity. As a Collection Box Volunteer, you will develop relationships with community venues, such as shops, pubs, hotels and hairdressers in your local area and arrange for one of our collection boxes to be placed there to collect donations. This is a flexible role so you can visit each location, at a time to suit you, to collect the boxes and replace with a new one.

We are looking for approachable people, with great communication skills, who have a passion for the charity, to act as ambassadors in their local community and support us in raising vital funds to continue with our work with local families.

Approaching venues and arranging for a Collection Box to be placed with them.
Making regular visits to the locations that you support and collecting any cash donations, replacing the boxes when needed.
Complete any relevant Collection Box paperwork, so that we can track and monitor the success of our collection boxes.
Act as an ambassador for The Myton Hospices, spreading the word about our work and encouraging local businesses to support our fundraising efforts.

Happy to meet new people. Comfortable handling money. Respectful of others and their diversity. Passionate about helping people in your local community. Knowledgeable about the geography of the Coventry & Warwickshire area (this is not essential).

An opportunity to develop new or use existing skills. A chance to support your local hospice and make a real difference to the patient and visitor experience. A reference for future employment or university (if required). Discounts at our retail shops and hospice sites on selected donated and retail stock. Reimbursement of out of pocket expenses (as agreed in advance) A flexible role with times, days and locations to suit you.
