Club Trustee

Along with the other Trustees, hold responsibility for directing and overseeing the affairs of Nuneaton Gymnastic Club, ensuring that it is solvent, well run and delivering the outcomes for which it has been set up for.

To include
o Holding the Head Coach and Club Manager to account for the management and administration of the Club.
o Ensuring that the Club acts in accordance with employment law and exercises a duty of care to its employees.
o Ensuring that the major risks to the Club are regularly identified and reviewed and that systems are in place to mitigate or minimise these risks.
o Ensuring that the Club has an effective governance structure that is appropriate for the size/complexity, stage of development, and Charity status.

Other Duties may include
· Trustees may be asked to lead projects, chair interviews, investigations, or operational meetings to ensure the delivery of club business.
· Trustee may be asked to undertake relevant training and development as required.

Trusteeships & Committees

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Bookkeeping & Finance, Building & Maintenance, Evaluating & Reviewing, Managing People, Organising & Planning, Sport

Professional Requirements Trustees will ideally be able to demonstrate specific knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas: o Leadership or management o Financial management o Recruitment and human resources expertise, including employment legislation. o Sport Club development. o Events management and fund raising o Safeguarding Trustees must be able to demonstrate the following skills and values: o A commitment to the Club. o A commitment to equal opportunities, safeguarding and the promotion of diversity. o A willingness to devote the necessary time and effort. o Good, independent judgement. o An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship. o An ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

· Attend four online Trustee meetings per year · Attend the Annual General Meeting There may be a requirement to attend extraordinary meetings if necessary.
