What you will be doing

Looking for a workout?

If you like to keep active and stay in shape, volunteering in our warehouse could be the answer you’re looking for. We always need helpful and active
people to help keep our stock moving from the van to warehouse and onto the store and from store back to the van for delivery!

This role will involve keeping active much of the day but it’s not just moving furniture when volunteering here you can also get involved in putting together our flat packed furniture, maybe something to puzzle over!

There are other opportunities to help our warehouse team such as booking in and checking over stock for sale.

So, if you like to keep active and stay in shape volunteering in your local furniture and electrical warehouse could be the answer you’re looking for.

Skills Description

Ability to work as part of a busy team. Must be fit and healthy due to manual handling aspect of the role (role will involve furniture lifting).

How Long Do I Have To Volunteer For?

You need to commit to a regular volunteering opportunity of around an hour a week. The table below shows the commitment required for each level of the DofE.

Bronze

Minimum time: 3 or 6 months

You must do one of your volunteering, Physical or Skills sections for 6 months, the others for 3.

Silver

Minimum time: 6 or 12 months

If you heven't achieved your Bronze Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 12 months.

Gold

Minimum time: 12 or 18 months

If you heven't achieved your Silver Award, you must extend your volunteering or the longer of your Physical or Skills sections to 18 months.
